On Sunday August 7th 2011, I had the great privilege and honor of photographing one of my best friends wedding. As I watched my dear friend get married I couldn’t help but shed tears of happiness! I remember our single roommate late evenings talking about what we were looking for in a husband and flipping through bridal magazines while folding the pages of our dream wedding dresses, adorable table favors and bold color scheme's. Over the past few years I have watched as Rachel grew and grew from a young lady who refers to her savior as her precious papa and into an even stronger woman of God. We've sat beside each other through the heartache of previous relationships and rejoiced together as God started to reveal His perfect and beautiful plan through the trials with Rachel always re affirming that God was with us and that God would always be our boyfriend, lol. I've stood in awe of how she carries herself and how devoted she is to not only her faith but her family, her friends and her values...never settling for less that what God was whispering into her heart.
Rachel, just as Ruth patiently waited for Boaz, you patiently waited for your Boaz, seeking God the entire time. You have shown me what it looks like to be a strong woman of faith and obedience. And Josiah, you have shown me what it looks like for a man to fight for his wife and what it really looks like to pursue your love. Thank you both for pursuing God, for that is what lead you to one another. "A woman's heart must be so lost in God, that a man needs to seek Him to find her." I love you both.
