Melany and Chris were such a blast to photograph. They are goofy, funny and I had no problem capturing some candid moments. These two kids couldn't keep their hands off each other! So adorable! Melany was a colleague of mine during my days while working at AAA. I also took her sisters engagement photos about 2 years ago at this same location. I feel so honored that Melany and Chris have asked me to photograph their wedding in Cancun, Mexico in March 2010 and I am excited to see Melany incredibly happy with mr. right :)
Ami & Adrian
Engaged! What a cute couple, let me tell you! And I was so excited when Ami told me that she wanted to take her engagement photos at the Huntington Library and that she wanted me to take them! The Huntington Library has to be one of thee coolest places and one of my favorite spots. It's located in San Marino, California. This romantic, elegant, historic, refreshing location is simply breathtaking. It has a library, art collections and botanical gardens. Whether living in or just visiting California, its a must see. Congrats Ami and Adrian!
Michelle
Beautiful Michelle! I was so excited that I got to take Michelle's graduation photos! Michelle just graduated from Concordia University in Irvine, Southern California 2009. The day we took these photos also just happened to be thee windiest day ever! We were holding onto the trees....no joke! We would wait for the wind to stop for a few seconds, snap a photo and then hold on for dear life until the next wind break, haha. But we made the best of it and had a great time. Congratulations on your success Michelle!
CynicApparel.Com
Cynic Apparel is a clothing brand by Angela Valenzuela. After graduating from the University of Southern California in 2007, Angela moved from L.A. to Orange County. While taking some screen printing classes at Saddleback Community College in her spare time, She realized that this was something that she was very passionate about. Teaming up with co-founder and classmate Marcus Lua, together they brought their ideas and designs to the lab and hit it off right away, thus the start of CynicApparel. She is also heavily involved in mission work for Uganda, Africa and on her webiste you can find t-shirt's and product, in which 100% of the proceeds go to support those in dire need. I quickly became great friends with Angela and was honored to be a part of this new development and adventure in her life.
Angela
Words can't describe Angela. But I'm going to try anyways...Angela is a great friend of mine. There is never a dull moment and this rad chick is up for ANYTHING. If you say Vegas, she says "how quickly can we get there?" A serious professional by day and a force to be reckoned with by night! Honest, caring, loving, spunky, beautiful and energetic are just a few characteristics to describe this amazing woman of God. I have had the pleasure of roommating with Angela, getting to know her family and friends and sharing unforgettable memories with her as well. On top of being absolutely crazy , shes someone you become permanently attached too and know that you will always be a part of each others life's.
GO GREEN!
A good friend of mine that attends Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, Southern California, asked me to help him out on a school project. He is part of an environmental group/class and they had an event with guest speaker Pierre Andre Senizergues, CEO and founder of Etnies brand, Sole Technology, Inc. The day was planned out so perfect. And the organizers definitely knew what they doing. The event was filled with different speeches from professionals, leaders and professors. In between speakers, you could visit vendors out in the courtyard who were all green friendly companies that displayed their information, insight and knowledge on how we can help keep this world we live in, pure. I had a great time bouncing from vendor to vendor and networking with some amazing individuals who know their stuff! In the end, I think I received more from the day then gave.
The Johnson Family
Oh, the Johnson Family. So cute! And probably the shortest photo shoot I've ever had. Which is normally the case when photographing children. But they were great! Luckily, I had this little toy cow on my key chain that made a "moooooo" sound and so we kept making deals with the younger one, Spencer. We would promise to let him play with the cow every time we wanted him to smile or get him to cooperate. Bribing....not such a bad idea with the little ones. Whatever works, right? I'm gonna call it....improvising :)
Cowgirl
Once Again, Alicia was up for another photo shoot. We spent the day crawling under barb wire, ignoring "NO TRESPASSING" signs and getting grass stains all over our clothes (I even think Alicia ripped her new shirt!). I've learned, as a photographer, sometimes ya just gotta get dirty. BUT its never an adventure without me pulling a "Meagan". Somehow, I lost my keys in the field. EVENTUALLY we found them but it took a while. Opps!
Rainy Day
My old roommate and Best friend is always a sport when it came to helping me out with my portfolio. So I was very sad when she decided to pick-up her life and move to South Carolina. Kinda funny....on this day, we were going to take some photos in summer clothing and it was supposed to be super sunny and warm and then we woke up and it was dark and gloomy. But I was determined to do a photo shoot. So I stuck her in my rain boots, handed her an umbrella and said "were doing this!" Haha. Needless to say, it ended up being a great day. And I miss my friend dearly.
